HOW TO COMPLETELY REMODEL YOUR KITCHEN

Completely remodeling your kitchen is something Aaron Plumbing & Contracting has been doing for over 25 years. We have all the necessary people such as carpenters, electricians, plumbers, plasterers and tile men to complete such a project. In this 'Free Tip' we break down all the major steps of doing such a job.

STEP ONE: 'Financial' - Determine an amount of money that you want to spend on your new kitchen. Complete Kitchens usually cost between $25,000 - $40,000.

STEP TWO: 'Plans' - Having plans created for your kitchen is something that is a must. We can have the plans made for you or you can have them done at any kitchen cabinet distributor.

STEP THREE: 'Cabinets' - The kitchen cabinets are the most important and expensive purchase in your kitchen. When choosing cabinets you will need to consider all of your specific needs.

STEP FOUR: 'Counter Tops' - There are many different materials that can be used to form your counter tops, such as plastic laminate (Formica and Wilson Art) which is the most common, and Granite, Corian, Swanstone, marble, tile are just to name a few. Aaron Plumbing and Contracting or your local kitchen cabinet distributor can help you choose a material to fit your needs as well as your budget.

STEP FIVE: 'Appliances' - Items such as a stove, refrigerator, dishwasher and microwave oven will get a lot of use, so choosing the appliances to fit all your specific requirements is essential. You will need to go to an appliance store and discuss the different levels of appliances that are on the market today. You will be able to visit their showroom to see these various items first hand before your purchase.

STEP SIX: 'Kitchen Sink Area' - Items such as sink, faucet, instant hot water maker, and soap dispenser can be installed into your new kitchen. See 'Free Tip #7' for more on this area of your kitchen.

STEP SEVEN: 'Lighting' - This design is usually done off your kitchen plans by a lighting distributor. You will then know what you will need to purchase.

STEP EIGHT: 'Ceiling and Walls' - Plastered ceilings and walls are the most common. The walls being smooth and the ceiling being either smooth or sand finished.

STEP NINE: 'Flooring' - The two most common floors are tile and linoleum. Hardwood floors are another option that you could also select. If you decide to go with tile please check out 'Free Tip #9' for more details about tile. If you decide to go with linoleum or hardwood you can go to any flooring retailer or we can supply you with some samples.

We hope that this 'Free Tip' is of some help to you in starting the project of completely remodeling your kitchen. Feel free to contact us if you have any questions or you are looking for an estimate.
